Buena Vista – East Nashville Lodge #560 is a result of two lodges consolidating on August 7, 2007.

Buena Vista Lodge #639

Buena Vista Lodge #639 was organized March 7, 1906 in bader’s Hall corner of Cheatham Street and 9th Avenue North in Nashville, TN. The most prominent Masons of North Nashville were present at this meeting and effected the organization of the lodge by a dispensation from the Grand Lodge of the State of Tennessee. The Grand Lodge issued the Lodge’s Charter on February 1, 1907 and on September 30, 1919, the Lodge purchased the Bader Building in North nashville. The Lodge continued to meet in that building until 1996 when the building was sold. The Lodge met at West nashville Lodge Hall #612 on Charlotte Avenue through December 2002. Since January 2002, the Lodge has met at East Nashville Lodge Hall at 360 Ewing Lane.

East Nashville Lodge #560

East nashville Lodge #560 was granted a warrant by the Grand Lodge of the State of Tennessee on January 29, 1891 and worked under that dispensation until the meeting of the Grand Lodge and a charter was granted on January 27, 1892 and it became a full fledged Masonic Lodge. A building at the north west corner of 3rd and Foster Streets waas the meeting place of the Lodge until 1963. In 1963 the Lodge selected and purchased it’s current property at 360 Ewing Lane, consisting of 2.5 acres at a price of $4,500.00. Plans for a new building were selected and a contract was set at a cost of nearly $70,000. On May 25, 1963 the corner stone was laid on the new building and the first meeting was held in the new Lodge Hall on September 2, 1963. there were over 90 Master Masons in attendance at this first meeting.

B.V.-E.N. #560

In August of 2007 a dispensation by the Grand Lodge of the State of Tennessee was issued permitting Buena Vista #639 and East Nashville #560 to consolidate and have their first Stated Meeting together on September 4, 2007. The new Lodge’s name is B.V-E.N. Lodge #560 F&AM of Tennessee. Currently the Lodge is proud to have on the books over 427 men as members from all walks of life. It continues to meet at 360 Ewing Lane in Nashville, Tennessee.
